TPP Desktop : Version 10.1 Released

The Total Party Planner desktop development team is pleased to announce the release of version 10.1 .  Loaded with new features and EVEN MORE powerful navigation!

brief sample of features in this upgrade include:

  • Ability to enter directions to a CLIENT address. Now include directions on the event worksheet for those events where the ‘venue is same as client address’!
  • Include special notes for any item(s) on the event packing list.
  • Allow the same menu item to be repeated on a menu. Great for orders that require special notes!
  • Create text modifier notes (similar to menu section) for beverages and rentals.
  • Easier navigation when re-sequencing menu, beverage, or rental details that expand greater than one viewable page.
  • Payments Received Report : option to show deposits only taken for a date range.
  • Enhancements to QuickBooks export interface.
  • Much, Much, More!

TPP Desktop : Version 10.0 Released

The Total Party Planner desktop development team is pleased to announce the release of version 10.0 .  Loaded with new features and more powerful navigation!

brief summary of highlighted features in this upgrade include:

  • Proposal of Service Report : option to include your menu item pictures!
  • When adding beverages and rentals to an event, optionally add the notes too at that time.
  • When copying an event, option to copy with current day prices.
  • Re-design of all search screens for easier use and display of data.
  • Assign an ala-carte indicator to certain items in a menu item package (ala-carte indicator applied for per serving menus).
  • New Report! Popular Menu Items by date range.
  • Standard drop-down templates added for all event note fields. Eliminate duplicate data entry for similar notes on different events.
  • Inventory full search screen changed to show the ‘Last Updated’ date column as the effective date of the most current cost segment.
  • Option to tax/not tax discounts.
  • Profit Summary Report : includes sale of ‘rooms’.
  • New Report! Client ‘unrecoverable’ listing.
  • Invoice Report : option to use the event title as the report title.

TPP Desktop : Version 9.1 Released

The Total Party Planner desktop development team is pleased to announce the release of its version 9.1 upgrade.

A brief summary of highlighted features in this upgrade include:

  • Option to add menu items to an event for internal use only (excluded from proposal and invoice)
  • Beverage and rental tax schemes dropped to item level (supports separating alcoholic and non-alcoholic tax rates)
  • Event menu, beverage, rental, and misc notes separated into 2 separate proposal and internal notes
  • Deselect items from a package before adding to event
  • Remove rental re-calculate confirmed message when changing status of event to confirmed
  • Enter a discount reason note
  • Pack list inventory associated to beverages – i.e., cups to sodas
  • Bulk update event beverages
  • Contacts associated to clients now included when printing mailing labels
  • Allow user to select auto-backup location
  • Easier editing (edit, delete) of event beverages, rentals, misc, and staffing
  • Option to hide misc quantities on proposal
  • Show miscellaneous description when adding to event
  • Include event title on outlook export

TPP Desktop Version 8.1 Released

The Total Party Planner desktop development team is pleased to announce the highly anticipated release of its version 8.1 upgrade.

One of the hottest features released in version 8.1 is the ability for users tocompletely define a timeline of event details.  Time labels can be created for key happenings of an event (ex: setup chairs, fill water glasses, guests arrive, champagne toast, event end, etc).  The list of time entries that can be created is limitless!  Even better, along with the completely dynamic timeline, notes can also be added to each timeline entry for more specific details applicable to an event.

A brief summary of highlighted features in this upgrade include:

  • Complete user defined timeline.  Define as many times as you need for an Event.
  • Enhanced Bulk update of Event menu item data (quantities & notes).
  • Bulk update Event staff data.
  • Bulk update inventory by vendor.
  • Ability to modify data (add, edit, delete) in the Terms of Service list.
  • Ability to reset invoice numbers back to a previous sequence.
  • Default a Menu Item Package name as an Event menu name.
  • When exporting data to QuickBooks, new option to allow QuickBooks to define invoice number rather than using TPP invoice number.
  • Export compatibility with Outlook 2007.
  • Rental vendor listed on standard Event Worksheet.
  • New report : clients who have NOT ordered within a specified timeframe.
  • More Invoice & Proposal report parameters to customize presentation of data.

Version 7.1 (Desktop) Released

The  August ‘Feature(s) of the Month’ upgrade is now available.  The features are available for immediate download if (1) Total Party Planner version 7.0 is currently installed (2) an active support contract is on file.
Features in the August upgrade:
  • Override menu item, beverages, and rental descriptions at the event level.
  • Assign Service Charge AND Gratuity to an event (if applicable)
  • Assign a dynamic ‘other fee’ percentage to food, beverages, rentals, staff, and miscellaneous.  For example:  apply a 2% damage waiver fee to rentals.
  • Enhanced packing list!  Default pack list ‘send’ quantity as any number, or percentage of the guest count.  Setup exceptions by Service Style.  For example: perhaps an item is packed for a menu item used for a buffet syle dinner and NOT a picnic.
  • Select multiple status on the event search screen.
  • Create standard event menu, beverage, rental, and staff notes.
  • Setup a default serving style for new events.
  • Setup a default indicator whether staff should be invoiced.
  • Print the staff schedule by day.
  • Eliminate menu items from appearing on the ‘Menu Item Listing’ Report.
  • MORE reporting parameters for greater flexibility.
  • Much, Much More!
