Another Sysco Location Includes TPP in iCARES Program
Sysco Virginia has officially added Total Party Planner to their iCARE’s program! They join Sysco South Florida as promoters of the TPP catering software line of products.
On March 30th, the Sysco Virginia sales representatives were impressed in their monthly sales meeting with the power and flexibility that TPP provides. The majority of the reps left the meeting excited to present TPP to at least one, or more, of their clients.
On April 10th, we impressed even more people! At Sysco Virginia’s annual tradeshow, it was the Sysco clients themselves who learned about both our desktop AND web-based applications. The most common remark was in regards to the applications’ ease of use.
Total Party Planner is proud to expand our presence within the iCARE’s program!
To note : iCARE is a collection of value-added resources offered exclusively by SYSCO to it’s customers. The philosophy of SYSCO’s program is about providing their customers with tools and services that will ensure the success of their operations.

TPP Web Now MAC Compatible via Firefox Browser
With the explosive popularity of the Firefox browser, it only made sense for our development team to make the Total Party Planner web-based solution compatible with this up-and-coming utility. Thus, Firefox 2.0 is now officially added to our list of compatible browsers, along with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Internet Explorer 7.0.
The added advantage of Firefox compatibility is that MAC users can now run our web-based application!! TPP has always been known in the industry as a “Windows” based company – but that has all changed now. We look forward to providing software to companies that have chosen MAC as their preferred choice of computers.
The Firefox 2.0 browser is a free download from Mozilla and can be accessed via:http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/.

Catersource 2007 Attendees Respond to Industry “Buzz”
Before the Catersource 2007 Conference & Tradeshow show even started, conference participants were hearing all the “buzz” being created by their colleagues using TPP. They were curious to see for themselves, first hand, the excitement TPP is providing the software industry. The “buzz” is why people came to the booth. The choice of products, and people they met, is why many purchased on-site.
Companies witnessed the awesome new web-based solution released in 2006. You could feel the excitement as we explained that maintaining software upgrades, managing complex networks, and data backup worries, are all a thing of the past. And working “from anywhere, anytime” proved to be an invaluable asset to many companies.
Attendees also saw a sneak preview of our latest desktop version 8.0 due out it late February. Version 8.0 will have more new features than any other desktop upgrade released in the past. We can’t wait for our current desktop clients to receive this upgrade!
Our entire team would like to thank each and every person at the Catersource 2007 Conference & Tradeshow who stopped by the TPP booth. Whether you were researching software, or a current client that just wanted to say hello – it was a pleasure to see all of you.
As the competition in the software market continues to heat up, TPP will continue to remain focused on building great software solutions, keeping prices affordable, and providing customer service that always exceeds a clients expectations.

TPP Displayed at Sysco’s Holiday Luncheon Seminar
Total Party Planner was among a handful of invited vendors who displayed their products at Sysco South Florida’s Annual Holiday luncheon seminar. The theme of the luncheon was specifically geared toward catering marketing and trends.
The response to the Total Party Planner display table, from both the catering companies in attendance and the Sysco representatives, was tremendous. Companies interest in our new web solution, however, was definitely the hot topic of the day.
We look forward to our next visit in Miami.

TPP Continues to Expand Staff

TPP Joins International Caterers Association

Last week Computica Software officially became a member of the ICA. The International Caterers Association (ICA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, mentoring and service for professional caterers and promoting the profession of catering to clients, industry members, vendors and the public.

We are proud to announce that our popular new web based version of Total Party Planner now interfaces with QuickBooks(tm) Pro. Simply export selected event invoices from TPP Web - directly to your QuickBooks(tm) company file. Seamless… efficient… flexible… actually pretty amazing!
The QuickBooks(tm) feature is so crucial to many users of our desktop version, that we were determined to implement similar functionality for the web as soon as possible. The release comes 3 months ahead of it’s originally scheduled release date.
The TPP Web interface with QuickBooks(tm) further solidifies Total Party Planner’s place as the leader in web based data management for the catering and banquet management industry.

I want to relate to you some of our experiences with Total Party Planner or TPP.
Before getting into the Catering business, I spent more than 18 years in the computer service business, with a company that provides on-site and remote service in all 50 states as well as many countries overseas, including Antarctica. I worked in the headquarters and several branch offices, providing me an intimate knowledge of Computers and Customer Service, as well as now catering.
In all this time, I have never experienced the prompt and knowledgeable customer service that the people at Total Party Planner provide. Calls are answered or returned promptly. Every question we have posed has been answered right away. Every problem we have presented them has been solved within 24 hours. Requests for some special projects we wanted were completed within two days, and sometimes within a few hours. Their level of customer service is truly unsurpassed.
As to TPP itself, it’s a very flexible program. We are integrating it into our operations a step at a time, to ease the transition for a pretty computer-illiterate staff. This is no problem with TPP. Yet the power is in the program to automate virtually every step of our operations. TPP provides us the ability to use just the parts we need.
In summary, I would heartily recommend Total Party Planner to any catering company-except our local competitors!

Preferred Vendor for Virginia Barbeque Company
Total Party Planner has been chosen as the preferred software choice for the rapidly expanding Virginia Barbeque Company franchise.
The owners of the franchise, Rick & Nina Ivey, first purchased Total Party Planner for their catering business in 1999. Since then they have gone on to create the widely successful Virginia Barbeque Company franchise. The company plans to have 100 stores open by December 2010! Rick told us “Our goal at Virginia Barbeque is to get our franchisee the best partnerships with the finest business tools at the best price.”
