Bulk Update Inventory Costs & Stock

With the inventory bulk update functionality, you can quickly update the ‘In Stock’ and ‘Unit Cost’ of your inventory items without editing each item individually.

1.    Select the ‘Inventory> Bulk Update Costs’ option from the Navigation Bar.

2.    Select the classification of Inventory to update from the ‘Classification…’ frame.

Helpful Hint: You may also narrow your grid view to update a particular category. Select a category from the drop-down list on the top of the form. (Note: If you have already made updates on the grid, be sure to hit the ‘Save Changes’ button before switching categories).

3.    Click the ‘Enter a new effective date:’ text box to bring up the calendar. Select a new date from the calendar and click ‘OK’. Anything updated in the grid will use this date as the new effective date for that item.

4.    For each desired inventory item, fill in a new stock amount in the ‘Update Stock’ column and/or a new price in the ‘Update Cost’ column. You can update either field individually or both at the same time.

5.    After filling in the data for the desired inventory items, be sure to click the ‘Save Changes’ button.

6.    When finished click the ‘Back to Inventory’ button.
