Create and customize the categories that your inventory items will be stored under. Each inventory item is assigned a specific category for ease of searching when setting up a recipe, or adding additional inventory items onto a custom Event. Categories are further divided into 4 classifications: Food, Beverage, Equipment, Other. Edit the categories under each classification, as your business requires.
1. Select ‘Administration> Custom Lists> Update Inventory Categories’ from the Navigation Bar.
2. Select an inventory classification (Food, Beverage, Equipment, Other) in the drop-down list at the top.
3. Choose an edit option.
a. Add a new category.
i. Click the ‘Add New Category’ button.
ii. Enter the new value and click ‘Save’.
b. Edit a Category.
i. Click the ‘Edit’ link in the grid for the item you wish to edit.
ii. Update the value and click ‘Save’.
c. Deleting a value:
i. Click on the ‘Delete’ link for the appropriate value you wish to delete in the grid.
