Occasions and Service Styles

An occasion and a service style are required to be assigned to an Event. The selected options will appear on your Event Worksheets and Proposals.

Cancel Reasons

Cancel reasons are assigned to an Event should it cancel. Lost revenue reports based on the cancel reason(s) can be run for a specified period of time.

Unit Measures

Unit measures are the units that inventory is broken down into. For example case, bottle, pound, ounce. They are also used to define recipe yield and plate sizes.

Preparation Styles

Preparation styles define your recipe in more detail for the kitchen. For example, when an item is used in a recipe, the requirement may be to slice, dice, chop, shred, etc. A summary report can be created that will list out all Event ingredients with associated preparation styles. This is a great way to organize your bulk ‘prep’ items in one place to avoid duplicate work.

 

Add to, edit, or delete from the lists, as your business requires.

 

1.    Select one of the options from the Navigation Bar.

·      Administration> Custom Lists> Update Occasions

·      Administration> Custom Lists> Update Service Styles

·      Administration> Custom Lists> Update Cancel Reasons

·      Administration> Custom Lists> Update Unit Measures

·      Administration> Custom Lists> Update Preparation Styles

2.    Choose an update option.

a.    Adding a New value:

i. Click the ‘Add New Item’ or ‘Add New Category’ button.

ii. Enter the new value and click ‘Save’'.

b.    Editing a value:

i. Click on the ‘Edit’ link for the appropriate item in the grid.

ii. Update the entry and click ‘Save’.

b.    Deleting a value:

i. Click on the ‘Delete’ link for the appropriate you wish to delete in the grid.

ii. Confirm deletion.
