Computica Inc., developers of the Total Party Planner, have developed both desktop AND web based catering & banquet management software solutions. Both applications provide the perfect mix of features, affordability and ease of use. The timeline of the company's progression follows.
In 1994, the owner of Computica, Inc. decided to blend his engineering and computer degree with his background in the family catering business. While working full time as a computer programmer, he decided to build a program for the family in his spare time. The idea for a program would be to help them track clients, staff, build custom menus, and generate simple proposals and invoices. Over time, and many revisions, the catering service became totally dependent on the data and output reporting.
In March of 1997, Computica, Inc. was born and their flagship product was named Total Party Planner. The program was taken out to Beta Test in a few different geographical locations. Testing went well and each site provided extremely valuable feedback to make the program truly marketable.
In March of 1998 the very first program was sold to Dickie King of Kings Korner Catering. Eight years later, Dickie is still a client of the company.
In 2006, Computica, Inc. released a fully web enabled version of the desktop application. They became the only company on the market to offer their clients a choice - either a desktop or web based solution. The program continues to benefit from ideas of the ever growing client base. Customer satisfaction is not only a buzzword to Computica, Inc. – it is a genuine concern.
